SulphCo(R), Announces Fourth Interim Progress Report on Its Sonocracking(TM) Facility in the UAE Representatives of SulphCo(R), and FOT Management were in Fujairah during October to review the progress of the project. Vera Group, the project contractor, updated the FOT and SulphCo(R), representatives on construction progress during the previous month. The majority of priority items identified in the new construction plan agreed to during September have been completed. The first Sonocracking(TM) unit has been placed into the main building and both facility chiller units as well as the hydraulic units have been installed. Six 30,000 barrel per day Sonocracking(TM) units and associated equipment have either been received at the construction site or will be received at the neighboring Port of Fujairah during the first week of November. The seventh 30,000 barrel per day unit, originally slated for the FOT project, has been held back in Europe for customer use. SulphCo plans to construct ship and install a seventh Sonocracking(TM) unit for the FOT project during the first quarter of 2007. All Sonocracking(TM) equipment is scheduled to be installed into the main building by November 20, 2006. The associated facility electrical and plumbing is scheduled to be completed by the end of November. "The construction milestones of the last month have been met. Now that the holiday period is over in the UAE, we are back at full manpower and I expect the remaining construction schedule to be closely adhered to," said Dr. Rudolf W. Gunnerman, Chairman and CEO of SulphCo(R), "It remains our goal to have the facility operational before year's end." |
