One Unit (30,000 bbl/day) Ready for Commissioning at the End of March

SPARKS, Nev., March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SulphCo®, Inc. (Amex: SUF - News) announced today progress of company initiatives in Fujairah.

The Fujairah project is scheduled to begin commissioning one unit (30,000 bbl/day) at the end of March. The initial operation will involve the testing of a 5,000 barrel per day reactor in a large batch mode. It is expected that once commissioning takes place, the initial operating tests will take place within several weeks.

The delays with this project in 2006 were due to poor coordination between SulphCo and the subcontractors in Fujairah. Several weeks ago two SulphCo representatives traveled to Fujairah and identified these problems and amendments were made to prevent any further breakdown in communication or delays in the process. We look forward to maintaining a realistic timetable for Fujairah and keeping shareholders abreast of each milestone."

Once the commercial viability of the testing at Fujairah and/or the installation with a partner in Europe has been realized, the second stage of the plant in Fujairah will begin. The second phase will include an oil pipeline, tank storage and oil contracts.
